If a stain occurs on your satin clothing, the most important thing to do is act quickly! Once a strain occurs, waste no time beginning to clean the stain off by getting a soft cloth, wetting it with water, and dabbing the stain.

Stubborn stains can be removed from satin garments by using a water based cleaning solution that is one part water mixed with one part white vinegar or one part lemon juice.

Stains can also be removed from satin clothes by using an absorbent powder such as talcum powder, baking soda, or corn starch and leaving it on the stain overnight. This method is useful for trying to remove grease and oil stains from satin.
